The comment reads as follows where ZUP is slated as Microsoft’s iPhone clone called ZunePhone. If that did’t amuse you, the following comment will take your wits off.

I am anxiously waiting for a call from a family member or close friend when my ZUP rings, and I touch the “Answer” button…

1 – The call doesn’t connect, but I am shown a dialog box that says “Do you really want to answer the call?” I touch the ‘Yes’ button.

2 – A second dialog box is displayed that says “A Secrity Service Pack is available for your ZUP, do you want to install it before answering the call?” I touch the ‘No’ button…the phone is still ringing.

3 – The ZUPs screen turns bright blue and then displays the following text in 8 bit courier:
*** STOP: 0×0000008E (0xC00000005, 0×804EF844, 0xF89463FC,0×00000000)

4 – The ringing stops and I must hold down four keys, plus a secret hidden one that can only be accessed with a paper clip. The ZUP shuts down.

5 – After a seven minute boot up, I am prompted to remove the SIM card and call my carrier.

Now, that’s whom I call a Microsoft experienced consumer.

India today where impeccable in the semi finals of the Twenty20 world cup versus the unbeaten one day and test match cricket champions Australlia. India proved that this format was a different ball game to them after all. Having been favorites for a long time now India were far from being the favorites amongst the experts and commentators alike but fickle minded audience along with me were in the hoards of the simple yet amazingly brilliant and fresh Indian team which took storm after they chalked out Pakistan in the qualifiers and the unbeaten host South Africa in the quarter finals.

Now yet again they will brandishing their greatest strength to Pakistan in the grand finale. The greatest strength of the current Indian team is the dark horse in the form of a wicket keeper and in the boots of the caption, the wise and the visceral, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He has showed the team how he can lead the path for the future of the Indian team and I believe that the long thirst of a great leader for the team is starting to quench. Dhoni is an example of quality leadership, hard work with dedication and getting the basic right. The most applaudable comment and the belief that he portrays in the game and off it is

If you believe you can do it , you will do it.

And yes, he had the done the same so far. From being the underdogs to now playing the final with their arch rival Pakistan yet again in the same world cup, Dhoni has paved a way for India heading for a glorious future in the upcoming seasons. Making him a captain for the ODI’s as well just after his first stint as a captain in the very first match of the world cup was probably the best move ever made in the history of Indian cricket which till now has been the sorts of a puppet show run by corrupted souls.

I certainly would like to go Dhoni’s way in my way of doing things too. My earlier motto in any thing I did was “Where there is a will. there is a way” but I now agree that even though you have a will, if you believe you can do it, you will do it. The rest of it has already entered in the golden pages of history. Dhoni, I hope you stay that way for a long time to come.

It will definitely raise the benchmarks of the mobile industry and I guess in the coming years a touch screen would no longer be a novelty. I had thought previously about a mobile which would not have a keypad since everything can be done via software, but had dismissed the concept as it would be possible, but out of reach of the common man. Once I have seen the iPhone which is surprisingly around $499 with a 4GB memory and the much applauded multi-touch screen, I can now start dreaming of something even more larger than life. Maybe a umm…iWatch, so that I don’t have to strap on a mobile on my jeans or tuck it into my pocket. Is Steve listening?

Well I think now that he has launched a magnum opus he will have to work hard doing rounds of law courts following the case of Cisco suing Apple over its trademarked product of the same name. It was only last year that the $100 million settlement had happened, when Creative had sued Apple for use of the Zen interface in its iPod. I sense that Apple’s woes won’t end easily with that. For a little amusement I was just trying out which other claims might be possible over here. I thought Steve must have purchased the domain with the name “iphone”, but to my surprise the website exists, but belongs to another firm named as “Nuvio” which offers a service of iPhone.

Thankfully, it isn’t another mobile, just a voice over IP facility. But the domain name still clashes with Apple’s product. I don’t have much knowledge on the legal issues, but on a lighter note it might be a small hindrance to iPhone’s fame. I am saying this because; Apple has taken the domain www.iPhone.org under its hood. This would certainly make one believe that the dot com domain should be of Apple’s too. But it is not!

Is there possibility of yet another legal battle of Apple vs. the rest? Time will tell. Till then think about it and let me know, while I drool over the new Apple gizmo.
